"We went to Milano this past weekend. The service was very good, and the food was excellent. My husband and I weren't too impressed with the atmosphere. We sat right near the window, which didn't really offer much of a view, and also, felt too bright. It would have been nice if there were shades/blin..."ds to block some of the light that was filtering in, and to make it feel a little more intimate. We have been to Milano in Loudonville, NY many times and the atmosphere there is much more trendy and more dim. I understand that this is in an Adirondack setting, and we love Lake Placid, I think we were just hoping that it would be a little different. "Best place in Lake Placid to get a great meal! Our first experience was when we closed the bar out with the owners who knew a great deal about beer, wine, and mixed drinks, no clue what they made when they infused the cranberry through the orange, but it was delicious! They both were just great peop..."le to converse with! We had food the next night, I got the brisket tacos, huge with a great pico on them! The brisket sandwich was also great with their house made sauces! Great happy hour prices, wish we could have stayed for the weekend to visit the huge upstairs concert venue for a show. Great ambiance with the awesome wall of windows in the back which means we got to eat dinner with a amazing view of the lake! We will be back since I am still craving the bacon mac and cheese! Thanks for a great experience!

"Quiet sector of the main street. Very nice inn. Loved the wine selection. Very nice wine cave, worth a view. As mentionned before, two menus, both interesting ! Had the veal, very tender, cooked to perfection, sauce was delicious as were the pureed cauliflower. Nice little garden ouside. Merci Olivi..."er ! (who found this place and took me there) Could be great for a romantic dinner, or a private group dinner. Would definately go again !!
