"First of all, I am from Massachusetts and grew up on seafood there. A La Cart is a replication of a New England style eatery and the cook is from there also. All that said, we gave it a try. My spousal unit had haddock and I had "whole belly clams" (WBC), a delicacy where I'm from. The best WBC I ..."have found is at Bob's Seafood Shack in Kittery Maine, just over the NH line. they are a 10 out of 10 and all WBC that I have are based on that rating. Farnham's in Essex, MA are usually an 8 or 9, as an example. That said, A La Cart was able to prepare a 7. They were tasty but the batter was a bit thick and there were no big bellies. Overall the food was well prepared and served New England style.

But the whole ordeal was in no way worthy enough to write a review about.
The thing that inspired me to take the time to write this happened the following day. I was again on my way to work, in my Fire Dept Uniform, and needed to pick myself up something for lunch. I figured another sub would be enough food to be my lunch A...

"In a fairly large group (6) on a crowded night, we all had an excellent experience. Two fish dishes were outstanding. The wine list is ample and reasonably priced, and the service was excellent (attentive, enthusiastic and well-informed).
There are two ambiances: more formal tables and booths, ..."and spaces for one or two at or near the bar.
Parking is somewhat limited and they overcome this with a valet service. Self-parking is tight on a busy evening
