"I've eaten in Everglades City probably three times before I even heard of this place -- oh, the missed opportunities! Loved this spot, but know what you are getting: there are no fancy tablecloths, here. What there is is good food and a great FL experience: order at the counter (be sure to check t..."he specials) and enjoy the quirky decor. If you're lucky, a good live band will keep you entertained. We shared both seafood and meat dishes on our recent dinner; both were good. I will NOT miss the opportunity to eat here again. Be sure to call before you come, as they are closed for a few months in the summer.

"My husband and I took a ride from Naples, FL, to Everglades City, FL, and we decided to stop somewhere for an early dinner. We saw this eclectic pink building with an Air Stream trailer and all kinds of fun things all around. It looked like some place you would find in Key West. We stopped and had t..."he most delicious Angus Burger and home made sweet potato fries. You go up and order your food and then sit at a table which is right on the water. It was an absolute delight, delicious food (I watched the other plates go by which looked fabulous) and the prices were extremely reasonable. We highly recommend it and plan to go back many times in the future!

"Living in Naples for 20 years, we've brought out of town guests to Everglades City a number of times, and always chosen one of the "other" places to eat (you know the ones...). Just by chance, I looked on Trip Advisor for suggestions & came across Camellia Street. All 4 of us loved it! From the p..."leasant seating next to the water to the friendly order @ the counter service, the experience was relaxing and fun. If the only encounter you've ever had w/ alligator is the soggy, breaded kind, you will definitely want to try Camellia's version of alligator bites with a citrus-y vinaigrette dressing. Excellent! We also had the grouper sandwiches, which were very tasty, accompanied w/ great crunchy french fries & ice cold beers. This will be our go-to lunch stop whenever we bring out-of-towners on a boat tour. They wisely close for a time during the long, hot summer months when it gets rainy & buggy in the area, so keep that in mind & call first.
