"We ate here when our daughter started college in DC 4 years ago based on Trip Advisor and repeated the experience on graduation weekend. There is nothing heavy about the food here like many Indian places, the service is excellent. The ambiance is very pleasant and the food is just plain delicious. T..."ry several appetizers!

"Dos Gringos is a cute, locally owned and operated cafe in Mt. Pleasant. They've been around for well over a decade, at least as long as I've been in DC (2001). The menu is decent - healthy, light breakfast/lunch type stuff. It's a good place for a low key brunch and has great outdoor seating. I ..."do wish they had a coffee only line, but what can ya do. It's really more of a neighborhood place, but if you're visiting and you are looking for something simple and not too heavy, it's worth stopping by. They also do bag lunches and coffee from the curb sometimes. I can say I've found the baked goods (mainly muffins) to be on the weak side. They're homemade but not worth it. The bagels are from a local place and not bad. Good for vegetarians, and probably a vegan could make something work.

"The Raven used to be the best dive bar in DC (it always made me feel like I was hanging out in Baltimore, big surprise, I guess), but now it's one of a pretty solid handful. That said, it's the best dive in Mt. P and beloved by locals. Cheap drinks, good jukebox, appropriately dark and just enough..." of the dank.
