  "We visited here today and ordered from the alacarte menu.Confit of duck and Scallops St.Jacques to absolutely savour. We arrived just before a large American tour group and the service was extraordinarily quick given the numbers. The desserts were also excellent ! Highly recommended! "

The 3 of them couldn't do enough for us, especially Philippe, who became a real friend. Philippe was always on hand when we were doubtful about the nature of a wine or something we couldn't quite understand on the menu. We were in Sarlat for 7 days, and we ate there either at lunch or evening meal on 6 of them. Apparently, this is one of only 4 eating establishments in the town open all the year round [the others being seasonal] and is patronised by the locals out of season, which to me, tends to point to the value placed on the service, food and welcome.   "Very good and varied food and we found the service was very efficient. Nothing to report regarding aspects we didn't like, other than the weather at the time of our visit, which meant were were unable to experience the outside tables or the little courtyard where food is also served.
