"I was actually in the mood for the traditional maialetto, but i quickly changed my mind when i saw the seafood on offer at King's. My polpo (octopus) starter hit the spot with just the right balance of flavour and no sharp acidity from the tomato. My partner's fish carpaccio (more marinated than car..."paccio, though) was declared tasty as well. I settled on the lobster fettucine, to which some more garlic was added at my request. It was lipsmackingly delicious and worth every calorie :) My partner's seared tuna in crushed pistachio was divine! Almost completely raw, it was one of the tastiest things either of us had eaten on the island. The bottle of local Alghero sparkling wine complimented the meal perfectly. We ended the meal with a tiramisu (YUMMY) and later the compulsory limoncello, in the gorgeous sunset view.

"We made our dinner reservation way in advance - and a good thing that we did -- Arriving right at 7pm the restaurant was quiet, but it was bustling by the time we finished our meal. And what a meal! We decided on the degustazione, along with the wine pairing. Right off the bat we were enthralled by ..."the mouthwatering flavours -- From the amuse bouche of gazpacho, mozzarella and tomato to the rather hefty dessert selection. Inbetween those two courses, the delicious creamed soup with fried foie gras and truffle oil drops (my fave course) was like eating magic. The filled pasta served with a crawfish tail was wicked, as was the white fish, oven-baked with mediterranean vegetables and asparagus spear. The NZ lamb was tender, succulent and delicious; it's sauces perfectly complimenting the meat and the potato croquette. Perhaps it could be interesting though, to use local produce from an island where sheep farming is popular..? ;)

"Ate here this Sunday. The food was very good, very fresh and very tasty. The area around is having a bit of a refurb once this complete this restaurant will be even better. The service was excellent and the owner very friendly and very keen to explain the food on offer. Will defiantly call in again ..."before we leave.
