We had spent a couple of hours in Riomaggoire on two different occasions without seeing--as we reached the town end of the railroad station tunnel--the stairway with the sign leading down to the marina and the Enoteca dau Ci..."la on the left as you walk toward the sea. Every part of the experience was excellent. Our waiter was cheerful and attentive without being obtrusive. He made excellent menu suggestions. The food was just outstanding. We started with a bruchetta with diced tomatoes and garlic followed by a ruccola salad with dried tomatoes and pine nuts and finished, after two great pasta dishes, with the best teramisu of our Italian trip and a beautiful pudding with fresh berries. Each item was artistically presented. The view--to the west of the ocean and below us of a fisherman bringing his boat up onto the boat ramp--was romantic and memorable.
