"My other half and I were taking an overnight train to Paris from Perpignan. We dropped our rental car off in Perpignan so we had a few hours to kill before our train. At first we ended up in a bistro just near the train station. We ordered a beer as I needed to go to the bathroom. 4 buck per beer!! ..."A rip to say the least for such a small town.. We were going to eat there but when I looked at the food, I was like "heck no, I'm looking for somewhere else". So I walked down the main street from the train station and I found tons of "take out" places but then I came across "New Delhi". .. YES, indian sounds perfect for this chilly rainy evening (May 8th). :) Plenty of room to place our bags and relax.
Their decor is interesting.. It's like someone had some good ideas while someone else had some bad ideas.. The menu displayed on the wall is quite ugly and cheap looking. But then the "salle" where the tables are gives you the impression you're in a restaurant.. My suggestion is to take...

"We came across this restaurant by chance and the waitress was most welcoming and helpful.
We asked for details of the centre and tourist office and she gave us not only an explanation but also gave us a free map, even coming outside to point us in the right direction.
We didn't go to France to e..."at specifically Chinese food but whilst there we did have three meals in Chinese restaurants and this was by far the best. It was comfortably spacious, the food was prepared promptly with a smile and was delicious. It gave one a feeling of well-being especially being accompanied by Jasmine tea. Hot towels were provided afterwards to cleanse our hands.
It is a pity it is so far away from us. We would make a detour to sample this one again!

"It is pricey but it is worth it. Meals served are delicious. Plus it is one of those few restaurants in Perpignan which stay open for lunch beyond 14h30. (In Perpignan usual daily lunch hours are between 12h noon to 14h30. Most restaurants close their kitchen for lunch after 14h30). It is open daily...", including Sundays, and opens from lunch time until late at night.
