It is a great place to stop for tea and delicious scones, recipe handed down from the owner's mother and freshly baked daily. I have also eaten breakfast here and it was equally delicious, especially the ..."lovely fried potatoes. I have not eaten lunch here yet, but have heard glowing reports. Just as a background, the current owner actually grew up on the premises, which now is the cafe.   "It is difficult to find someplace for breakfast on a Sunday morning, so we decided to give the Market Bar a try as they were open at 9a.m. I have not eaten here since it's old incarnation as Rogues's and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I must say we were not expecting too much, but ..."the breakfast was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. They had a decent selection to choose from, so we were spoiled for choice. In the end, we settled for the vegetarian breakfast and the omelette. but I could just has easlily gone for the pancakes or the full Irish, which looked very appetising.........just gives me a reason to go back! The service was very friendly and efficient and the price pretty reasonable(€5.50 for veggie breakfast including tea and toast). I will definitely go back and try it for lunch, but a definite recommendation for breakfast in Ennis. " More >
