"Super food, great value. Would recommend Brodies if you are in Moffat. It is well hidden from the main street but when you come across it what a little gem. We initially went in for a lunch snack which was superb and so booked for the evening. A lovely comfy restaurant set out with candle lit ta..."bles and comfy sofa's. It wasn't busy which was a shame as it had a great atmosphere but as it was only just re-opening during the week after the winter shutdowns I suppose this was not surprising.
So if you are in the area I would recommend Brodies for either a light lunch or evening meal, so go try it !!

"We have stopped here many times for breakfast on our way to Edinburgh. It's such a convenient stop off the M74 and the ride from Moffat over the top to Edinburgh is usually very quiet and quick. Breakfast is good value and, unlike other posters, we have always had good and efficient service. The Rum..."blin Tum will remain our breakfast stop for as long as we do our regular journey to Edinburgh.

"Cafe Ariete is not fancy. In fact, it's really just a basic formica-tabled cafe. But there's always a buzz as it's very popular with locals. We stopped in for breakfast - all well-cooked local produce and very, very good. The home baking is excellent too. The friendly staff care that you enjoy what..." you have and the service is quick. Why would you stop off at motorway services when you can come here? Parking is plentiful and free and Moffat is a lovely small country town. It's a no brainer for us.
