"We holiday in this region every year and struggle to find decent places to eat. We saw this restaurant on trip advisor and had to check it out. It is "off the beaten track" in a village at the bottom of a beautiful valley and by the time we found it they were just closing up after the lunch crowd. ..."
They must have felt sorry for us because they called us back and re-opened just to cook us lunch. They greeted us warmly and nothing was too much trouble. They have tastefully decorated and achieved a modern country feel. The menu was well balanced and included local produce. They also have a great children's menu and brought my daughter a trunk full of colouring pencils, paper, books, etc.
The food was delicious, home cooked and fresh. The fish and chips were amazing quality. I don't usually have dessert but was taken by a hazelnut pavalova which was out of this world.

"The restaurant is now in Portland Road. The new place is light and bright and has a great atmosphere. The food is still excellent with the old favourites and some great new ones as well as specials. Still the best place to eat in Aberystwyth."
