"What a great find a little off the beaten track in Alberta! Had lunch while travelling through Kootenay on a rainy day and couldn't have been luckier to find Safta's, just a short hop from the Radium hot springs. It was hard to choose from the menu because it all sounded and looked great, but ever..."ything we had was fabulous. And what a bargain to boot - no better food value around. Be sure to order the Canmore-brewed soda, as it is really good too. Wish I wasn't on vacation and could visit here more often. I am giving 5 stars for atmosphere not because of the physical aspects, but because the owner makes you feel so welcome - like you're family. Definitely recommended!

"Recently stayed at the Best Western Prestige Hotel in Radium, BC & dined in the hotel restaurant, La Cabina. Best restaurant in the area! We are huge fans of Italian food fan & La Cabina has some of the best I've ever tasted. The food was fresh, homemade & brought to our table much faster than one w..."ould expect from a high quality restaurant. The staff was friendly & attentive. Loved it!! We'll go back to Radium just to eat there!

We decided to order the platter for 2 to share. We had both the falafel and the chicken shwarma. I have to say the food was excellent. There are a few places we've been to that serve falafel, but it is often of the "pre-made", reheated variety. Not at Safta's. The falafel are made fresh to order, just as we experienced in Israel. The hummous and salads were also homemade and very authentic. Even the french fries had a nice Israeli flare to them due to the subtle spices added on top. Finally, for dessert we tried the malabi which was fantastic. The food was so good that we stopped in again to pick up lunch on our way back home. Although we d...
