"If you are wondering where hip Curacaolinians go for a fine dinner with a laid back and lovely vibe, than this place is for you. If Euro-Curacao cuisine is a thing, then here is a great example of it. The plates may very in terms of quality but the menu is always changing based on what can be loca..."lly resourced and the overall experience is excellent. The restaurant had a few hiccups getting started, the re-booted Papa's is definitely one of my favorite places in Curacao, where I have tried many of the top restaurants. Part of me is reluctant even to write this up because I want to ensure I get a table next time I'm on island.

"This place lives up to the reviews. The decor and ambiance really reminded me that I was on vacation. Open air feel right next to the water with a slight breeze and the smell of yummy food being prepared really makes you love life. We slept in so we were having a very late lunch with no reservations...". No reservations means you don't get balcony seating but it didn't matter. I was hungry and I'll sit anywhere I can eat.
I ordered the beef carpaccio, quiche with spinach, mushrooms, and cheese, and goat cheese on a puff pastry to start of my meal. These are pretty standard items that can be found anywhere so I knew it would be delicious. The entree I chose is a little more unique to Curacao so that I could experience local food on a half-full stomach just in case I didn't like it.
I tried the Karni Stoba which is their version of a beef stew. Oh EM GEE!! If only I had an extra stomach. It was soooooooo yummy. I catch myself daydreaming about it once in a while. I don't really know an E...

"We visited twice while we were in Curacao. The building itself is a very inviting place, situated above the beach with a stunning view of the waves against the rocky shore. Our first time on a Saturday night, there was a solo guitarist who invited a guest to accompany him on saxophone. Music was liv..."ely and a few folks were dancing. We enjoyed seeing the posters of American blues artists adorning the walls. It was a lovely backdrop to our dinner of Red Snapper served with the traditional funchi. Here we met our bartender, Glenn who became a friend and sort of concierge during our stay on the island. We followed up on his many recommendations and he didn't steer us wrong. The second time was the Thursday live music night where 5 musicians were squeezed into the loft that is the stage. Later we were told that the lead guitar player was a former PM of Curacao! Both nights the music was more jazz oriented than blues, but all the musicians we saw there were extremely accomplished and as a r...
