  "Just been for an absolutely fabulous meal in this restaurant. Don't be put off by the looks of this place as it looks just like a cafe/ diner or the location as its on a main street. The food on offer is simply fantastic. My wife and I had a sample platter of most of the starters on the specials ..."board ( to share between us) and these were truly amazing, by far the best we have during our 2 week stay in bophut. The main meals were delicious too especially the snapper meal that my wife had. The owner really goes the extra mile too, to ensure you feel welcome and you enjoy your meal.   "Cheap meals but fantastic food on offer"
  "The hut is situated right at one end of the fishermans village Main Street. It's a very small family run business that does not look anything special from the outside. Don't let this fool you as the food is great. We ate there 3 or 4 times during our 2 week stay and all the meals were excellent. ..." There are a couple of things to take into consideration though. Sometimes you have to wait for a table as there is only about 10 tables in the restaurant and the place can fill up quickly. The second thing is the service can be a little bit slow as there is only a few family members who work at the place. These are only small negatives though and should not put you off going to a place where the food is fabulous and the bill is surprisingly cheap for the quality on offer.   "The friendly frog doesn't look much from the outside and could easily be missed, it is a very basic looking place with plastic outdoor furniture and many people share tables, however due to the amount of people in it one night, my husband and I decided to give it a go and we are very pleased we did!..." The friendly frog may well be basic, but the food is fantastic probably the best authentic Thai food we had while in Koh Samui as probably the cheapest price (apart from street food)! The staff are friendly and although no speaking much English still remembered us each time we returned for more! Would recommend The Friendly Frog for anyone visiting Fisherman's Village if you are looking for good, tasty but basic Thai food! " More >
