We loved the atmosphere.Food was excellent.The waiting staff were very good.The cat shop is worth a browse if you like cats.

Had a table on the terrace in the evening sun, which was lovely. Our server, Elize, who was also the cook as it was a very quiet night, was very friendly, efficient and charming. Between us we had South African speciality 'bobotie' and rack of lamb. Both were very good. Recommended.

2nd stay in TULBAGH and we were pleased yet again with our diner at READERS. The food is good and unpretentious; my wife had a bobootie which she considers to be the best she has ever had. Fully enjoyed the warm, friendly service. Can't imagine staying in TULBAGH withour dining at Readers

Had a gorgeous dinner and lovely wine. The service was outstanding in a beautiful cape Dutch setting carol the boss was a great hostess and made our night. She has great staff who were attentive and very welcoming. Will defo return we'll worth a visit to readers and Tulbagh

If we had not had a recommendation to find Readers in Tulbach, one of the greatest lunches we had in South Africa would be amiss. Off the main street, across from the highschool sports field, the menu, the wine list and best of all the Springbok was absolutely fantastic. Worth a trip to Tulbach!

We ate twice in this restaurant on our trip. The owner Carol is a perfect "mine host" and full of enthusiasm for her establishment with a great sense of humour. Her food is delicious and has a modern take on South African cuisine at great value. No room for a dessert after the Bobotie!

At Readers we had the most delicious meal during our holiday in Tulbagh. The staff was extremely friendly, great atmosphere and the whole cat decoration is adorable.
