The restaurant changed its name to the Black Pearl. Full buffet. We had n lovely evening. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing! We could choose from: soup with freshly baked rolls, salads with loads of dressing types. All kinds of seafood and grilled fish. Different...veg and rices and roast potatoes. Pork and beef. Chicken pie, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, pasta dishes, meatballs, Russian in pastry rolls and a selection of lamb stews, malva pud, trifle, caramel tart, sago pud and selection of dessert sauces. At R119 pp this was real value for money.More
We were staying at Club Mykonos on Thursday the 22nd of June. We made a booking based on info saying its an ala carte restaurant. Our booking time 6pm. We arrived to a locked door, unfriendly staff and a buffet. As it was a really...cold eve, we wanted some hearty soup, not so, with a couple of carots floating in what looked like dishwater, colder than lukewarm, it was not a good start. Plates were cold. People serving behind counter clueless re dishes. This too lukewarm and very tired looking food. It was a horrible experience!More
i made a booking Thursday 27th april for the buffet the sunday 30 april -thought to make it in advance seeing it was a long week end. When we got there we were informed that they do not have our booking on there sheet of...paper. Patrons before us also not on. We were ask who we spoke to to try and clarify - the person answered the phone Black Pearl restaurant so we assumed that it was the right place. They did not even offer to bring in another small table - just sorry no table. They will for sure not see us again BAD SERVICEMore
The buffet was not anything to be proud of. The chicken wings were so dry one couldn't eat it. The lasagne had a fowl smell to it which we pointed out to the waitress, but upon leaving the dish was still in the bainmare for...the other clients to dish from. The deserts was also not good. The one tart wasn't even set,it was basically cream with cookies and fruit pieces. We did not enjoy our visit at all..and would not recommend anyone going there. The pricing is way to pricey for the dishes and quality. Also the music had 3 songs that were playing on repeat.More
Went to the restaurant to take for my mom's birthday, her first time at the buffet place but we had a horrible experience, waiters took forever to bring our drinks, serving people who arrived after us, they even went as far as forgetting my dad's...drink. The next thing we are advised we need to tip the waiter 10% for the poor service received In my opinion, I will never set my foot there ever again and I wouldn't advise anyone toMore
Food was ok-ish. Not worth the price we paid. We actually had comps for the meal(for 2 of the 4 diners) but the waitress was confused as to whether the vouchers were for ala carte or buffet. We ended up paying for the entire meal...and the food took ages, not a good thing when you are with two hungry teens.More
This restaurant changed its name to THE BLACK PEARL. It is situated at the Club Mikonos casino. My family and I went there for a birthday selebration. The restaurant was well laid out and the music was soft and relaxing. The service was good. The...restaurant has been well=known to both locals and the gambling fraternity for a number of years. It offers a buffet dinner and Sunday lunch, amongst others. It has always been renowned for its large variety of dishes. We went for a Sunday lunch. Butternut soup was available, which was delicious. Of the fish dishes I took some fried fish - also fresh and well-prepared. Unfortunately the disappointment was in the main course. I am a meat eater - and took a small piece of chicken, a piece of roast beef and something which I initially thought to be braised oxtail. The latter turned out to be some kind of stewing meat on the bone. All three kinds of meat were either not well cooked or of a lower grade. I left most of all three on my plate. The rice and vegetables were acceptable. There were at least five deserts available. I had a piece of fridge tart, which was of average standard.More
This restaurant has changed its name. It is situated next to the entrance to the gambling hall at Club Mykonos Casino. It offered an extensive buffet lunch on Sundays. A new restaurant opened on these premises about a year ago, and changed the menu.
nutritious meals to whet the appetite, weekly specials of foods or desserts. Caters for all day breakfasts, and cocktails were awesome at any time of the day.
Recently opened, this buffet style restaurant is situated in a casino complex. The service is excellent. There is a wide variety of rather tasty food. This restaurant offers value for money, so it can be very crowded on a Sunday. The layout is not great,...so expect to queue for everything.More
