Very good seafood. We went back three times for dinner. Highly recommended but you need to book a reservation.
We had checked into our hotel and asked the receptionist for a recomendation, as we were in Sete it had to be seafood of course. She told us of this restaurant and guess what it was 100 meters away, how convienient, It dosen't open untill 6.30pm so we killed time having a couple of beers at the bar next doorand... More
We had a great meal, the best we had in France over a two week period. Superb seafood which even my fussy teenage daughter enjoyed! Great service. We were only sorry that we only managed to dine once as it was always packed out. We now know why.
This is a well-established, very popular, competent restaurant on the quay of the Canal Royal. It's often booked up all through the year, more so at weekends in winter. I've been here many times and have never left disappointed. The menu regorges with ultra-fresh shellfish and seafood: local oysters from Bouzigues, delicous garlic mussels, great mixed platters to share washed... More
My wife is a native of New Orleans who knows her seafood. It is therefore telling that whenever we are in the neighborhood, we are required to stop here so that she can slurp a dozen oysters and pick from the comprehensive menu. Why four out of five, then? Because I'm not that much into seafood and the menu is... More
Excellent seafood restaurant as stated by all the other reviews. Was full outside but there was space inside. Lots of shellfish to choose from and selected grilled fish. One of many good meals we had in Sete, non of which were cheap. It is a good idea to make sure you know what the french is for each type of... More
We have been going here for a few years now, ever since the Rascasse closed. Went first on a recommendation from a friend who is a local and were not disappointed. The place is always busy with local trade and it is easy to see why. If you like shellfish, give this place a go. The moules farcies is excellent... More
Having found the restaurant via Tripadvisor reviews, we were not disappointed. On a surprisingly warm February lunchtime, we were able to sit outside in the enclosed outside space. Fish soup and fruits de mer for starters, followed by king size prawns and monkfish kebabs for main courses. All superb and good value. The restaurant was packed with locals by 1pm... More
It is set on the main canal and abusy road junction. The whole world seems to revolve around this gem of a restaurant. Obviously a popular destination with the locals and my was it busy. Wev tried the moules farcies (stuffed mussels) and it was delicious. Would rush to eat there again
The food was terrific. We ate here two nights running. No set menus, so that might deter some as you have to go sorting through the carte. The spaghetti with palourdes was wonderful, deliciously al dente spaghetti and the whole plate piled with palourdes. Grilled squid ditto. The shared starter of mussels gratinee was superb; big juicy mussels and lots... More
