It is 24- hours open cafe. You can sit here having morning coffee while watching sun rise. It is run by tourism department. Interior is just average, but mostly people prefer to sit outside facing sea. Go there only if you get place outside.

the most happening place on the promenande good food good crowd visit in the evening and you will enjoy thoug closed on mondays
I liked so much their browny (chocolate cake) with butterscotch ice cream. It's really wonderful, but the service is orrible, no, terrific
It's the only coffee shop by the seaside. It's very peaceful and calm to have breakfast by the beach. The only downside was that the items were overly priced for a coffee shop in TN..!!! But, minus the prices... its a nice way to relax.
This place has the best location. There is an an open view of the ocean. It's located on promenade and best place to take a break during the walk on promenade. The coffee is good and the staff is friendly. When you go there, the place will speak to itself. Enjoy Pondi!
Attentive servers. Wide enough menu choice with coffee, shakes and the like. Beautiful view - right on the promenade. Open 24/7! The promenade is restricted to pedestrians from evening to morning so accessibility is also good.
Love the coffee, the people and the fresh food, just sit there read, draw, eat, lay lazy, just love the place.
if you are in pondicherry this is the place to go for breakfast with a view. Wake up and head there for a filling combo breakfest with fresh juices and hot coffee. you also might want to carry a travel book and just sit there to pen down your thoughts
its a 24-hr cafe, nice place to spend the evening... you can also pick-up a few souvenirs also... but dont expect much from the staff there...it seems like you are interfering with their relaxed life there... the food is decent and reasonably priced...if the staff were a bit more responsive and efficient it would have been a terrific place
This is a typical Indian Government run coffee shop. Slow service, uninspired food, wholesome portions and slightly overpriced as compared to similar private offerings.
The good part about Le Cafe is not the food or the service, it is the location. The structure itself is the authentic old Pondicherry Port building, which has a wonderful sea-facing view. You can sit...
