Oh my goodness from the second we walked in the door we got the rudist look of contempt with eye contact that I have ever had. There was no hello nothing, that started that, With the prices the way they are I cant understand what thats about. Turangi is a lovely small town and to be charging Queenstown Prices is... More

It's sad when good place goes off! Used to visit here and enjoy the coffee the food and the atmosphere. Not sure if it changed hands, the last two times we've been here the food has been passé if it hadn't run out, but the coffee was not delightful and the service has been downright rude. Won't be coming back... More

We stopped off here for coffee and a (delicious) muffin on our North Island road trip and thought it was a very pleasant cafe, good service, friendly staff, and even a wee rose garden. There are some interesting photos on the walls, other funky artwork, and the menu looked pretty good. The coffee was an 8 out of 10 and... More

Took the suggestion to stop here from the Scenic Drives in NZ book. Had a great brunch and friendly service. There were some yummy homemade quiches, cakes and pies that made us wish we hadn't already made a packed lunch. Smell the roses in the garden if you arrive in the summer

The cafe was well placed and convenient, with a pleasant atmosphere. The food was rather average and the menu not exciting.

Stopped off on the way back from Taupo on a Sunday to have some lunch before we hit the Desert Road. Absolutely terrible place. Freezing cold. Expensive. The teenaged staff were more interested in flirting with each other than paying customers any attention - deeply sorry I want to contribute to your wages! How inconvenient! Our food was brought separately,... More

Bad coffee doesn't tend to survive in New Zealand however when you find a really good one that stands above the others a wee rave is not out of place so this is it! My wife is a very fussy soy chai drinker and, well, I just know a good latte when it hits the tongue so go no further... More

We stopped in to the Mustard Seed after completing a walk along the river. We found the cabinet food limited although there was a significant cooked to order menu. They have an outdoor alfresco dining area amongst the Rose bushes but unfortunately they have locked it off for the off season. The coffee was good.
