Quaint old rooms but with all mod cons. Evening meal was excellent. Good choice of beers and whiskies as well

Extensive menu, with "Specials" daily. The home-made pies are great, & the assiette of lamb was luscious. The Platter for sharing was utterly delicious, but so generous that we had to stop ordering it in order to do justice to the main courses
Great food with a good buzz. Fantastic scenery to be found here too. Get there by paddle or a hand ferry that will come and get you if you're walking on the wrong side fo the river....
We'd booked for lunch here after an excursion up to the top of the Rock, and before a boat trip on the Wye. We were expecting great things after all the excellent reviews, but we were underwhelmed. Good service, excellent beer, great views, and dog friendly (in the bar) – but the food was distinctly average. I'm not a vegetarian,...

This is the second time my wife and I have visited Symons Yat for a day out and on both occasions we have eaten at the Saracens Head. Not a cheap place but the quality of the food is excellent. Will certainly return on our next visit.
Me and my wife had a really good lunch here whilst we were on holiday in the area. It was a great location, we walked so not sure what the parking would be like if you were planning to drive. Excellent spot though to refuel for the rest of our walk! Highly recommended!
We stopped for lunch after a long walk. Great view, fab service and lovely views. A lovely traditional pub in a fantastic location.
good riverside setting. food well priced &good range of ale. good pleasant service with a smile An ideal place to watch the river go by
We had lunch here twice during a recent break to Symonds Yat. Wonderful food with a lovely setting by the river. I would recommend lunch here for couples and families as the atmosphere is also very friendly. My husband enjoyed the real ales!!
We came here on recommendation. It was lovely sitting by the river outside in the sunshine. However, food a bit iffy.
