The new terrace out back was great in September, the service was friendly and I had 2 guests with me who have high expectations. The meal was most enjoyable.
On our first day, we had a lunch here. Only simple omelettes but weer very tasty and just what we wanted. Served quickly, hot and with a smile! This cafe was perfectly situated in the centre of the village, and became our favourite stop for dessert and a nightcap! The staff were very friendly and were clearly very happy in... More
What a wonderful surprise! We entered thru an alley with a sign that read " Cour Ombragee" it is inside of the Cafe de L'ormeau. The lovely vine covered walls and lighting along with the canvas hanging above to block the sun made it for a very special romantic lunch. The service was wonderful and always done with a smile.... This café is part of a chain of restaurants in Lourmarin and the food is truly terrible - completely tasteless and poorly presented. We also waited over an hour for our meal to arrive after receiving mixed messages over whether one of the selections was actually available or not. These issues however paled into insignificance when compared to the appalling... More
We got to the Cafe after 10 and ate between 10:30 and 11 so to be fair, it may have been too late to expect a lot. We ordered steaks with fries and red wine - a simple cafe kind of meal. The fries were good - the house wine so-so, the steaks were just OK (and I have to... More
This is one of three sidewalk cafés that are all grouped together in the center of town. Some of the seating is actually across the street from the cafés themselves: the way to tell which café you're in is the color of the chairs! On a busy Sunday afternoon my husband and I had lunch and enjoyed the marvelous people-watching.... More
sit outside in the sun and sip your pernot kind of place! relaxed and typically french countryside. have a rose and chat with the locals. the coffee is not so great but how needs it in france anyway. you have a nice scenic view of this lovely village.
While we didn't stop in for food, we really enjoyed sitting and people watching on the 'bend' of the Lourmarin village. Waiters are great and speak English, good selection of beers and menu looked good from what I could see.
Next to our apartment, this lively cafe gave us a delicious gorgonzola and bacon salad and grilled lamb chops. The owners were very friendly and helpful. A very popular spot.
Always fun here watching the world go round over a glass of rose and tomato & mozzarella salad. Followed by a beautiful ice-cream.
