Recommended by the owner of the Hotel Attiki. Food was very good, very attentive waiter, Not touristy, which was a relief from the majority of restaurants in the old town.
We went there in early November and I think we were the only customers that night. There was the owner alone. He served us Greek salad for free. The white dry wine went well with the seafood. We had squid, octopus and swordfish. It was very delicious. We talked a bit with the owner when we left and we shook... More
This taverna has traditional Greek fare without the tourist type menu. The service and food are exactly what you expect from a Greek family restaurant. We had dinner there 3 times during our stay in Olde Town and highly recommend not passing this by!
I sometimes think you can measure a greek taverna by how good it's aubergine salad is, and here it's simply sublime! The courgette fritters are fantastic as well. Other reviewers have complained about waiting for their food, but we had no problem at all, and the restaurant was almost full. The owner/chef and his son are absolutely charming - so... More
This gem of a place is situated just off the central square of Rhodes Old Town. It may take a bit of finding but it is well worth it. The taverna is decorated in traditional style, the walls are adorned with many of the owners family photographs. The food is prepared and cooked by the owner himself so be prepared... More
Charming old man hosts, cooks and waiters. Nice traditional decor. Courgette fritter starter was truelly excellent. I'm sure it's great in peak season, perhaps when there may be more staff. However... Even with only a handful of diners poor old Kostas could not cope. My partners food arrived 5-10 mins after my own and was so overcooked it was inedible... More

Family atmosphere in this old fashioned/traditional (I prefer authentic) taverna. Seems to be son taking orders and Dad cooking. Cheese Saganaki delicious. Grilled octopus and chicken souvlaki both worth ordering. If I go back to Rhodes I would visit again. The menu reads like anywhere else but the execution of the dishes is a step above the norm.
