Average service, no smiles. I had burnt sweetcorn fritters and burnt bacon. Nice decor and large premises with playground and mini golf (at a fairly pricy cost). May appeal more to tourists than locals? Breakfast also on the higher end of what I would pay, and certainly didn't warrant it.

Having spent the night at the backpackers lodge at Mt Cook, our group of 12 decided to head for Twizel for breakfast. The Musterer's Hut caught our eye and we were pleased with our decision. Very tasty food, good price and friendly service

Ordered two coffees 20 minutes ago and still waiting. It is incredibly slow. Friday lunchtime about 20 other groups and don't seem to be able to cope with that!!!! Hopeless!!! How long should you expect to wait for 2 takeaway coffees!!!

Had breakfast here a couple of times while in Twizel. Good food at a reasonable price. Friendly & helpful staff. Recommended.

Very close to the highway and the first place as you enter town; so best place for a very good coffee and breakfast or lunch if you don't want to go farther into town off the north enterance. This is the entry that takes you to fuel. Food is good, coffee good too.

It's a cafe not a restaurant but its atmosphere and food is great. The Deco is original kiwi country with old couches mixed with diners' booths and original local art on the wall and from the outside it looks like a tin hut with a mini golf course attached but GO INSIDE. The owner and staff are really welcoming and... More

Upon arival in Twizel the 'Hut' 'was closed due to a power failure, so we had to eat elsewhere the first evening. Decided to try it for breakfast, wow! Superb food, a mountain of 'eggs benedict' and accompaniments. The Hut has an unusual ambience, being decorated with lots of old signs and memorabilia. It has standard restaurant tables plus a...
