The waitress called my husband’s employer to complain about her tip. WHO DOES THAT? It was the Cayuse Release weekend and we knew it was going to be busy and so we made reservation for dinner for 4 people 2 months ahead of time. We showed up on time that Sunday evening and were shown to a table for 2.... More

Saffron is a small local restaurant that got lots of recommendations from the locals. It can get busy so we ended up eating outside, but it was a nice evening. We had small plates and everyone liked what they ordered. The octopus was well prepared and tender. The flatbreads were good but not extraordinary.

This was my 2nd visit to Saffron since our first time here back September 2012 just blew our minds with the fabulous dining experience. We found out about this restaurant through TripAdvisor, and the numerous accolades the chef received including James Beard Foundation nomination. We came here over the busy Spring Release weekend, since my husband and I love to... More

I managed to get a reservation for three on fairly short notice. When we arrived the table was ready and we were seated at a space that would have really been better for two, but worked for the three of us. This was the only thing about the meal that wasn't great (and since the alternative would have been a... More

Saffron was recommended to us by a couple of locals who said it was the "best food in town". We were lucky enough to get a reservation to sit at the bar that night, which was a Saturday. The restaurant was packed, and we could see why. The service was great as was the food. We were greeted when we... More

We were thrilled to get a reservation at Saffron for our special dinner while in town, as its so highly recommended by many. The space s small, but comfy. The service was attentive, but a little pretentious. The octopus was tasty, but was a bit overwhelming with the squid ink vinaigrette. The beet and blood orange salad was refreshing and... More

Four grown adults including myself and my 6 month old baby went out for what we hoped to be a fantastic evening at Saffron in Walla Walla. After arriving in town and visiting one winery we went to dinner at Saffron. We ordered a $50+ bottle of sparkling Riesling to go with our appetizer. Then we ordered our dinners and... More

With all the rave reviews, we had high expectations. Our appetizers were good and two of the four of us had good meals. However, both my husband and I were underwhelmed. In my case, the halibut dish was bland and his case, the pasta was way too salty.

My hubby and I had made reservations a few months ago to this place, after hearing great things, and how wonderful the service was etc. When you walk in the door, there is a large curtain separating the door from the tables. Several people walked by him after he poked his head out of the curtains, and we were ignored... More

Well, have no idea about the food because the service was abysmal, and then the excuse was, "Well, you can see we are so busy," when the dining room was less than half full. Pooh. We went back to The Marc and had a great meal with attentive service.
