My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here during restaurant week (which coincided with our stay at the Viking). The portions are generous and the quality of the food is top notch. After years of fine dining worldwide, my wife and I were amazed to find such extraordinary fare served at the hand of Chef Kevin Thiele at The Viking Hotel in Newport. Great, classic atmosphere and a pleasant, caring staff topped off a delightfully delicious evening. We'll be back.

My family and I went here for afternoon tea and really enjoyed the ambiance that the hotel staff created for us. Waiters were wearing tailcoats and the TV in the corner was playing Downton Abbey episodes. The food was delicious as well as the tea. Overall, a really enjoyable afternoon.

My significant other and I went to "One Bellevue", the restaurant in the Viking Hotel for the Easter Brunch. It was held in the lower level of the hotel in a big Ball room. It was a pleasure to dine here for many reasons -- the excellent food, efficient and friendly wait staff, lovely atmosphere. Also, the menu offers really good choices, and even the fries are superb. Valet parking is available.

We each chose one Newport activity to do - he chose a brewery tour and I chose afternoon tea at One Bellevue, the Viking's restaurant. So glad that I did! The room is beautiful and cozy - they even had Downton Abbey playing quietly in the background!...
