We went to Uncle Bucks this weekend when we were visiting Luray. We ordered the rib eye steak and my brother in law had ribs. The steaks were tough and very chewy, and the ribs were swimming in sauce. Food prices were ok but not worth the money at all. My sister in law actually felt sick not long after... More

The breakfast was great. We came in early on Saturday, and the place was packed. Service was good and the staff friendly.

Typical small-town greasy spoon decent breakfast very good coffee. We had four gentlemen having breakfast several of them had biscuits and gravy I had pancakes they were all very good to good. Heads and shoulders above McDonald's or Hardee's.

Quality of food - grim. Also, the place poses a 'health and Safety' hazard! We ordered their 'proudest' dish - 'Valley Trout'. I don't know from which valley this excuse for a fish came, but I suspect it was many miles away from the Shenandoah valley... The poor benighted creature had probably seen many better days before it finally landed... More

There are still real, old fashioned family service restaurants out there. This is one of the best. Coffee served in mountain man sized cups was a real treat. Decor, food quality were an authentic sample of true Shenandoah charm in motion.

Went into the bar to have a drink. Being a tuesday night it was slow. I waited 15 minutes for a drink when the girl behind the bar asked what I wanted. I oredered my drink which wasn't good at all! Seemed she was in a hurry to close judging by the comments she made to another customer. I will... More

We stopped here for breakfast yesterday while staying in Luray. We were seated immediately and the sever was very friendly and attentive. I like flavored creamer in my coffee so she went a step above and brought me some hot cocoa to mix in with my coffee. She was fabulous. I got 2 eggs and home fries with a bisquit... More

Fun waitress! Somewhat slow service. Food fairly good; however, fish is huge but no taste. Don't know why. Everyone loved their sandwiches at $8 and under but just chips. Unmatched chairs and tables, nothing exceptional in decor.

I waited for a beer after a long car ride from Manassas. Then I waited again for the food, which was ok. I really wanted to phone Robert Irvine from the Food Network's Restaurant Impossible. Uncle Buck really needs to update and clean up the decor. Finding someone who will work faster in the kitchen would help too.

We stopped in to Uncle Buck's the morning of our trip to Luray Caverns. It was fantastic. We ordered chopped beef, biscuits, "redneck Benedict". They were all very good and the service was excellent. Would reccomend!
