I like to start negative reviews with at least one positive thing. At El Campanario, that was that the waitress was very friendly. Sick and coughing everywhere (like on the food), but friendly. Other than that, nothing was good at all. The food prices DO NOT reflect the food quality. If I pay $12 a plate for food-- it better... More

There was really nothing wrong with this place, but there was nothing memorable either. Pretty standard menu, typical New Mexican fare, breakfast menu too, burgers, steaks. I ordered cheese enchiladas with red sauce. The sauce was good, the enchiladas were ok. The rice that came with it was very wet - looks like lots of tomato sauce in them or... More

Came here looking for blue corn cheese enchiladas with red chile sauce. Found them! Not really on the menu, but we asked, and they were delicious! Everything else was pretty mediocre - rice, posole, the chips & salsa (which we had to ASK for). But those huge SOPAPILLAS!!! Well, they were plenty good too! Service was just okay. If you... More

Just spent a week in Santa Fe visiting family. We ate here twice, I could have eaten there every day and not grown tired of it. Enchiladas are my measure of a good Mexican restaurant and this one wins, hands down. Also, Omar Villanueva was there one day serenading the diners, what a treat!

We ate here on a recent nationwide motorcycle tour. The service was a bit slow to start but picked up. Food was very good and we were completely satisfied. We give it a solid recommendation and would eat here again.

The tables were sticky and falling apart. The waitress was slow and did not bother to check on us one single time. There were no chips and hot sauce (always a given at any good Mexican food place), and the menu said sopaipillas with all meals and the waitress told us we could not have them! We both ordered the... Wife & I just tried this restaurant. Had guacamole as an appetizer, fajitas & chicken enchiladas for dinner. Right away the guacamole looked kinda suspicious. The VERY wilted lettuce garnish told us that it was probably pre-made & possibly sitting in the fridge for awhile. Nothing special reg. our dinners. As soon as I left, my stomach felt queezy. When... ...Green chili chicken sopapillas wonderful!!!!! Service is great... The Nacho plate is enough for 5 people - portions are huge, both the adult and children's menu. Everytime I go to Santa Fe - I eat here!!!! A must stop for anyone visiting!!!!!

I’m often in Santa Fe, on the prowl for great food. One of the popular places on Cerrillos Rd expanded across the country, and their quality went to zero in Santa Fe. Luckily, almost across the street, I found El Campanario Restaurant, sitting at the cross street of Calle Del Cielo. GPS fans, it’s 35 39.206N, 105 59 695W. I... More

Not much to look at from the outside, typical southwest decor. Great Mexican food in a town full of Mexican food. Each dinner entree comes with a sopapilla. They offer posole which you must try, tasty big chunks of pork in a broth along with the corn, much better than the usual beans. Our waitress was more comfortable speaking Spanish... More
