Exceptional food and service. Menu doesn't change that often, but thats fine....as it is always satisfying. Great for a date. One of the single greatest deserts I've ever had - homemade cheesecake with vanilla sauce. It's outrageous.

One of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. I have had intimate two top table dinners as well as event dinners for 40 or more guest. The Silo never disappoints. Delicious dishes that will please even the finicky "foodie" with a nice wine list to complement your meal. The portions are generous but leave room for deserts. There is private... More

We arrived without reservation for our wedding anniversary. The first floor bar is convenient with excellent service (try the raspberry mojito). We waited 5 minutes and the hostess escorted us to our table. The athmospher was perfect, our waitress was friendly and very attentive. If you are looking for a romantic place, this is it. Now to the food, average... More

Never been dissapointed here. The five spice duck is probably my favorite entree - pan roasted breast and confit leg with almond & apricot couscous - delilighful! The seared sea scallops are another standout - so tender and succulent. I recently tried the shrimp & grits and was not dissapointed! The grilled shrimp are served atop cheddar grits with tassos... Always a very good meal. I had shrimp & grits with Tasso ham. Excellent. Spouse had scallops w/garlic mashed. Also excellent. Special appetizer of foie gras with blackberry reduction good but definitely not worth $22.50. Next time I will ask price of the specials. Signature dish (chicken fried oysters) much better deal at $12.50. I prefer this location (the original)... More

The salmon was very good as well as the garlic mashed potatoes, but both were out-shined by the asparagus. Very well prepared with just the right amount of seasoning to enhance the flavor of the asparagus. I would have rated the restaurant higher except for the excessive noise coming from the open kitchen and the "industrial look" which tends to... More

Reading all the boffo reviews for Silo my BW and I were anxious to partake. We arrived on a Sunday evening just as they opened. We were greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. Our server was nice and friendly, but a little new. We had checked out the menu and decided to order two Caesar salads, the chicken fried... More

Had dinner there on a Monday night. Ordered off the price fixed menu. Had the chicken fried oysters based on other reviews. Most excellent. Used a Groupon which actually does not apply to the price Fixed, but not clearly stated on the Groupon. Waitress honored it anyway. Excellent service. All the people who worked there seemed very friendly and pleasant.... More

This was a surprise. I was brought here as a guest for lunch and the place is very cool and has a great feel to it. We were greeted and seated immediately. The food was fantastic and it was truly amazing. We had appetizers of the house specialty Signature Chicken Fried Oysters which were truly awesome and also Crispy Duck... More

I liked everything about Silo - the decor, service, and of course the food. Went to the 1604 location with some good friends, we all had something different from the prix fixe menu, and we were all very satisfied with our selections. This is a special occasions restaurant, and a good alternative to the standard hi-end steak house that people... More
