Description: Established in 1998, Gracie’s was founded with a vision to offer fine food and personal attention to all. Started on Providence’s Federal Hill, Gracie’s quickly outgrew its 30-seat location and moved to the Downcity Theater District in 2005. The new space offers a cozy wine room, a stunning private dining room and greater seating capacity. Although Gracie’s has grown in size it remains true to it’s mission -- to create a warm environment, and to surprise, excite and educate the palate.

Gracie's is a place you ought to try if you can afford it: very good, but not great, at least on the night we went. This is one of those restaurants where they bring you little unexpected treats between courses, like a bite of deviled egg or a tiny scoop of sorbet, to "cleanse the palate." I like that. I... More

My daughter booked us a table for 6 at Gracie's to celebrate the successful defense of her Ph.D. thesis at Brown University. As usual I wanted to bring my own wines and called ahead to determine the corkage fee (which was $25 a bottle--steep but not unusual for a nice resturant)--so I bought 4 nice bottles to drink with dinner.... We have dined at Gracie's several times over the past few years for special occasions as well as before or after the theatre. Everything is top-notch: the atmosphere, the food and the service. We have opted for the theatre menu as well as choosing the multiple-course options when we have time. The wines selection is impressive, and the bar area... More

My wife and I had a great dinner here using a gift certificate given to us. It was our first visit. The food was excellent with very nice presentations. The service was very good as well, however the server could have sold us more wine had she been more attentive. They have pastries on the hostess stand you can take... More

I can't say enough about this restaurant. I booked a reservation online based on reviews from tripadvisor. I must say that the experience did not disappoint. I was looking for a place that was romantic since I wanted to treat my girlfriend to a well-deserved date night in town. Right from the start I was impressed with the attention to... More

If you can't find a reservation on Open Table, call directly. We almost missed an extraordinary dining experience but fortunately drove by the restaurant at 4:30 and called. The hostess opened the door, brought us in to see the menu and the restaurant and then made our reservation. We walked around the area sightseeing and returned for a sumptuous meal... More

Everything is fresh, fresh, fresh. The food is cooked expertly. There are so many dishes I would like to try. Fois Gras is amazing and not to be missed. The ambiance feels like a small startup tech company or somebody's living room. I'm not really into that type of feel but may work for you. Service is very professional and... More

This is a hidden gem. I have eaten here probably 20 times in the past four years while on business travel to Providence from my home in New York. This food is outstanding - I get the seven course tasting menu which is a ride through delicious vegetables, pastas, meats and on and on. You cannot go wrong. Food is... More

Reservations were made on the fly. While having a drink at a nearby bar another patron suggested the best restaurant in Providence. We listened and went to Gracie's. Wow. Not sure what was the best part of the experience, the food or the service. Both rated A+. We did the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairings. Awesome. Expensive...but awesome.... More

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of having dinner at Gracie's last night. The valet was excellent. We had a warm greeting upon our entry. We sat at the bar before dinner and had a drink. The bartenders were friendly and prompt even on a busy night. Our dinner was amazing. Coleman and Steve were our servers. They were... More
