First stop, Frontier. It's almost a sacred rite for any visitor to Albuquerque. Everything I had was pretty decent, atmosphere is classic, and the cinnamon rolls will have you talking for days. Was it the best meal I had while I was in town: no. But the price, the experience, mixed with the simplicity of the food, makes for a... More

I like the Fiesta Burger with green chile and onion rings. Also the breakfast burrito and a sweet roll. The trick to the breakfast burrito is to smother it with the warm "ranchero sauce" available in a couple of steaming crock pots next to the drink dispensers. Good coffee, fresh squeezed OJ. Enchiladas covered in green chile stew (available on... More

Basic, delicious American/New Mexican grub made fresh and priced right. A restaurant whose staff stays for years (decades for some) is one I want to patronize, because the owners must be treating their employees well, which means the employees do their best and don't spit in the food.

This place is an experience, more than anything else. Rather unconventionally for me, you go and order at one of the cashiers from the large menu posted on the wall, then wait for your food and seat yourself. But I had no complaints here - the Frontier Burrito was pretty delicious in its simplicity - green chile sauce smothered over... More

Frontier was recommended to be while I was in town for business. We went for dinner. The food was okay. It was not great. I think this is more of a lunch location. There is a diner feel and you place your order at the counter and then when you number is posted you pick it up. The fresh lemonade... More

We went to this restaurant expecting amazing tex-mex based on Yelp reviews and ended up regretting the trip. There was nothing spectacular about the food. I've had much better tex-mex elsewhere and being in Albuquerque, I expected this to be the best of the best. I ordered the breakfast burrito and was severely let down. The salsa didn't have any... Very late night to go dinner/breakfast. The burritos were great and the huevos rancheros were pretty darn good. Great location, right by the hospital.

We were a little surprised by the "order at the counter" experience, but enjoyed the efficiency. The many collections of western art on the walls and ceilings made it feel like eating in a museum.

When visiting a town for the first time i like to get a feel for the local institutions and this is one of them. Great breakfast that was affordable and set in a place that made me feel like I belonged. Had a big breakfast burrito and a cinnamon bun which was probably too much food, but I enjoyed every... More

I've been to the Frontier way more times than I can count. The Fiesta Burger is unparalleled, as is the green chile stew. Inexpensive, great food in a very informal environment. (The breakfast burritos rock too!)
