Be patient, it is a small place and they are understaffed. Go early and big groups will be hard to seat. That being said, I had the most tastiest tonkatsu ramen with the freshest noodles and deep, savory broth with all the pork goodness that should come with it, including several slices of the most tender pork that tasted like... Restaurant only had one person working the front counter and he obviously had no training. They were so crowded at 11:45 a cook put up the closed sign, which several people ignored. A few minutes later there were so many people in the room customers were standing by the walls, which was very uncomfortable for my friend and I since... More

We were really looking forward to visiting Kokoro today as our daughter loves Japanese food. Unfortunately, after driving across town we found the restaurant was closed on a Saturday evening. According to the note on the door, it was because their server (singular) was sick. Another car of people pulled up soon after us and left disappointed. For such a... More

I am a sushi fanatic and, coming from the East Coast, am accustomed to having some really great sushi restaurants. I'm starting to think I'm really spoiled by the amazing sushi restaurants I have in my hometown. After reading TA reviews wanted to check this place out. We went early knowing that it's a very small restaurant and fills up... More

I am not well experienced with Japanese food, but I have been going here for four years andit has been consistently delicous every time. I was in last night and I was pleased to see a long wait to sit in this tiny unassuming wonderful restaurant.

We tried this restaurant on my suggestion and I really wanted to like it. Possibly the dishes we tried were just not to our liking. The Sushi was delicious- Tempura California Roll and Spicy Mix Tuna Roll. The seaweed cabbage salad with miso dressing was also fantastic. I also loved the fact that hot green tea was free and that... More

This place was packed at 6 pm on a Friday. And for good reason . Fresh sushi, great miso and from what I see yummy donburri. People are willing to wait and I would on my next trip. 4 tables and the rest bar style seating

Homestyle Japanese, like your Sapporan grandpa would have made! Really great place. One of the few places in NM anywhere where I saw a great cross section of people of different ethnicities, including many Asians and African Americans and mixed race couples dining. Has a youth-friendly, comfortable vibe. Reminded my husband of our favoritie Japanese neighborhood spot when we lived... More

My fiancé and I go here at least once a week. He orders sushi (with their spicy sauce, you can order it on any roll) and I order the chicken teriyaki donburi. We also share the steamed gyoza and miso soup. Everything on the menu is absolutely amazing! The service is excellent and very friendly, and the atmosphere is great!... More

As the other reviews say, this is a really small restaurant with great food. My family went on a trip to ABQ and really liked it. My wife and I had bento boxes, my son had raman noodles, and we all had sushi. Everthing was excellent. Definitely not for a fancy night out or fancy sushi, but good for great... More
