We shared a couple of entrees and appetizer samplers. All the food tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. They have outdoor seating as well.

Aristos is a local favorite, on 13th East near the University of Utah and a convenient place to eat before events on campus. Aristo has the usual Greek fare, always well prepared. In addition the chef prepares dishes from his mother's recipe book. They are the next best thing to a trip to Greece.

We had a late afternoon, weekend lunch here after a long day on the U of U campus. Close to campus but a quiet, relaxing restaurant. Slower pace that lets you enjoy the food. My son had their Gyro and said it was the best he has eaten. I had the Chicken Souvlaki with the combine salad. It comes with... More

I'll say this: at first, the food tasted excellent and authentic. Then the saltiness became unbearable. And before you go thinking that this is due to my weak American palate unable to handle "real" Greek food or some such nonsense, let me just say I grew up in Europe, I enjoy anchovies straight out of the can, and not once... The hummus and pita bread is phenomenal. I opted to have the shimp appetizer as my main course with a side greek salad, and the waiter suggested adding a side of rice because there is a lot of sauce with the shrimp. He was totally right. So delicious, and I didn't feel guilty afterward. Their cocktails are super delicious as... More

I'm probably one of the only few who likes smelts - always get them when they are on the menu and I've had my fair share. Aristo's smelts are perfectly crispy and battered little critters that I can eat the whole plate. Love them! Their appetizer of pita and garlic hummus, roasted bell pepper, and roasted eggplant are awesome. Service... More

The restaurant was full when we arrived but they said they could seat us in about 15 mins. They worked hard to seat the parties in front of us and they did get us a table in time. The service was very good and the food was great. My picky son got the chicken souvlaki with fried potatoes and he... More

Nice live music on Thursday nights, excellent service and very good reasonably priced food, located adjacent to campus makes Aristo's a great choice. We were attending the Philadelphia Story at the Pioneer theater (excellent, don't miss it) so we reserved Aristo's prior to the show. We enjoyed very good wine by the glass, hummas and pita bread, shrimp kabobs and... More

I am Greek-American and the food at Aristo's is very authentic. On Thursday night's there is a 2 man Greek band playing Greek Music. In the summer time, the patio is open, and Thursday night's is also barbecue night, with lamb on the spit. Inside has a very nice atmosphere with murals of Crete's ancient Minoans and King Minos' palace.... More
