We went for father's day 2013. The view was definitely breathtaking as we were there during sunset. It's quite bright and the sun is in your face should you want to see the sunset so bring sunglasses. Once the sun goes down, it also cools off - so bring a shawl of some sort. The food was unfortunately not the... More

During our stay at the Marriott, we had dinner at the Mala Lounge. Amy provided exceptional service and fantastic recommendations like the Ahi Bruschetta. Delicious! We also had the daily brunch buffet in our package. It was a great buffet but overpriced. A beautiful view!

Out of papaya. Pineapple not ripe. Not a strawberry in site. A long way to travel for melon. Eggs on buffet were runny. Bacon is cheap. My husband would not even eat because he lost his appetite just viewing it. I wish I had not eaten my burnt omelette. This Marriott is sub par. No selections. You should go somewhere... More

We decided to have our wedding dinner at this restaurant in the Buddha Room. We only had 16 people including ourselves. I have two negative points for this place and lots of positive. Negatives: no one greeted us, we had to approach someone. The bar staff was uninformed of our party and they charged my guests for drinks prior to... More

Excellent views of the ocean, impeccable service and yummy food. I especially enjoyed the Angus burger and grilled asparagus.

As buffets go, it is on the average side, but has the potential to be much better. It is overpriced for the selection given. It was still enjoyable, but I probably will not eat there again.

My husband and I ate dinner here while staying at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. The service was very good. We enjoyed our meals although my husband's order was mixed up. It was not a big deal but after we brought it to their attention we had to wait another 15 minutes for his meal to come out.... More

Just left our stay at the Wailea Beach Marriott, where we dined at Mala for breakfast twice, dinner once, plus dinner in the lounge area. Our first night we had dinner in the restaurant and had fantastic service and really enjoyed the ambiance. We shared the herb-crusted mahi mahi and a Caesar salad. The Caesar was okay, but I thought... More

We ate here our first night at the resort. While the food was very good, it was probably a bit overpriced and there weren't a ton of options (at least that I wanted). Still worth a meal if you are here for a few nights as the view is great.

We loved the original Mala Ocean Tavern in Lahaina, so we anticipated the one in Wailea would also be good. Sadly, we were disappointed. It has a nice ocean view, the drinks were OK, the service was fair, BUT: the food was just average (in fact, the salads were downright limp), and it was expensive, even by Wailea standards. Go...
