Been to the originals. It's great they're here finally! Nothing like curing the urge for some S&S anytime we'd like. Cheese fries!
I went with a friend on a Monday at lunch time and it was crowded but we were able to get a table. We both ordered the double beef with fries and a milkshake and root beer float. The drinks were great especially on a hot Denver day. The burger and fries were not bad and not great, just standard... More
We were there for breakfast. The food was tasteless and the service was poor. The restaurant was virtually empty. We won't go back.
The first time we went to Steak N' Shake we were very pleased with super fast service and good food. Since then we've been twice and have been disappointed with the long wait time for food even when it's not busy.
Any time I get an earful of hype about a restaurant, movie, or product I always smerk and say to myself: "I'll see about that!" Usually, I have to say that this self-proclaimed Foodie can't disagree more with the majority. So when I see a line of twenty cars lined up at the drive -thru of this popular burger joint,... More
This Steak and Shake is located in a shopping center parking lot. It's a bit convoluted to reach and find a place to park. I've eaten at Steak and Shake in multiple states and I don't know why, but this one is the absolute slowest drive through of any of them. I've waited over 1/2 hour in the drive through... More
Having grown up in Illinois with Steak n' Shake but living without them the past 35 years in the southwest, I was thrilled to take the short drive off I-25 to seek this one out. We got there just at 10 AM but they were ready for my classic order of a double steakburger with their signature shoestring fries and... More
You get very good value for the money. This is fast food prices with a "real diner" feel. Food is ok but nothing special really. They have HUGE shakes that can easily be more than enough for two people. Service is ok and I like the open kitchen. The place looks very clean. There's also lots of parking because this... More
We ate here twice during our recent stay. Mainly because it was very convenient to our hotel. We struck up a conversation with two locals who drive from downtown Denver to eat because they love the burgers (one being a former butcher). We found the food very good, so brought our family the next day. They quickly made us a... More
I must say, the burgers are quite tasty. The shakes are very good as well. The price is a little high, but comparable to other burger places in the area. A must try... at least once.
