This is my favorite place to eat in Natchez. It is a great place to meet friends or family for the best tamales I have ever eaten. The location is great, the outdoor patio is awesome. The staff are wonderful.

Our traveling companion wanted to see the Kentucky Derby and we were told that Fat Mama's Tamales had a Derby Party, so we went! We're glad that we did! Tamales, which both my wife and I love are hard to find in many places as they are labor intensive I guess? Anyway, 1/12 dozen tamales, and several enjoyable margaritas later,... More

We arrived at Fat Mama's during the Kentucky Derby. We sat at the bar and ordered a dozen tamales and some chips and salsa. The tamales were spicy which was good but not anything that made me go wow. They weren't bad but I wouldn't go out of my way to get these. They did not come with any red... More

The food was really good.... some of the best tamales I've ever had. The price was reasonable. The atmosphere was fun and the veranda was very nice. We ate after 1:00 pm and the place was packed.

City sort of closes up early on Sundays and the only place we could find was Fat Mama's. Had their specialty which is tamale with a chili bean filling. A split was more than enough and it was good with a little taste of their hot sauce Local hang out with plenty of seating outside. Nice warm weather. Good find
