What a historic restaurant to eat at. My friends and I ate a family style special. It was amazing. Great ready for some southern fried cooking. The staff was great and it was amazing to see all the picutres on the wall of people who have come to eat at Mary Macs.

My wife and I went to Mary Mac's along with locals who had been going there for decades. I had the fried chicken and others had the meatloaf and other dishes. The fried chicken was very tasty but not the best I have had. The side dishes were a little disappointing especially the mac and cheese and creamed corn. The... More

We visited Mary Mac's Tea Room on a Sunday just before the church crowds arrived (before 12:00pm)...there was no wait when we arrived (but a nice long one after we ate)...so we were seated quickly and served a plate of sweet breads which tasted as though they'd just come right out of the oven. My husband loves soul food so... More

I had lunch with friends at Mary Mac's. I had the turkey with cornbread dressing. It was really good - Almost as good as my mom's, which is hard to find in a restaurant. The vegetables were a little disappointing. The squash casserole wasn't very flavorful and the butter peas possibly could have been from a can. The cornbread and... More

Informal southern hospitality mixed with delicious southern food. Be sure to enjoy the fried chicken, turnip greens and good ol' pot likkur and corn bread. Casual, fun atmosphere. Service was excellent and staff very friendly.

When friends invited me to Mary Mac's I expected tired and cheesy "Southern" cuisine. Instead the food was really well done and the experience was great. Get the potlicker for sure. I would suggest this for out of town guests and locals!

The staff was friendly and the food was seasoned well. They offer a lot of southern style foods. The dessert was very flavorful. The restaurant was clean. The parking was awful. Very limited parking. However, the food made it all better. I will return just as I have for years.

Really good down home cooking with excellent friendly service. I had the chicken fried chicken with pepper gravy, whipped potatoes and broccoli casserole -it was all excellent. This is not the food that I normally eat on a regular basis, but I absolutely enjoyed the food and the experience. They also make a great classic martini.

I love soul food... however, this soul food was even better than my mom's... and if you tell her, I'll hunt you down! Seriously, I think ATL is the most segregated city I've visited, but you see all types here in this place... because the FOOD IS DELICIOUS. You can get anything from greens... to fried chicken... to lima beans...... More
