This is a historic little spot in town. Great creative cuisine with fresh ingredients. The only thing I wouldnt agree with is they use that wierd griddle grease better known as butter it. I wish they would just use regular oil and butter. I have had many great meals though!

Jill and Pam serve the best omlette, the best huevos rancheros, maybe just the best breakfast in Woodstock. The cooking is good, the company is fun and despite what you might think everyone with a smile is welcome!

We found out about this place from a local who eats there often. The day before we were to leave Vermont we found this little gem. It's a small place with about 10 diner stools. We both had sandwiches that were simply fantastic and you won't walk away hungry. Nice friendly atmosphere where locals and outsiders chat with very little... More

WASP is very unassuming from the outside but don't let that fool you. The food is great! The prices are awesome. The portions are perfect. But note the pancakes are enormous. The people are nice.....and the food is made to order. Even with freshly ordered food came FAST. Also note it is a short walk from Shire motel.

We walked to the Wasp from our hotel which was very convenient. Nothing fancy. With only about 15 bar stools at the counter, it is a cozy place but oh so friendly and homey. We had a good visit with everyone in the place. We had scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon fried crispy and it was very satisfying. Great... More

Here is a whole in the wall breakfast and lunch place you have to experience to believe. Great food reasonably priced and stories not to be forgotten.

This little diner is a spot the locals frequent. Good place to catch up on gossip and enjoy home cooked food

If you like the "Diners, Dives, and Drive-Ins" show, and if you are sure it can't get too casual for you, visit this place for breakfast. You will be looked at askance. You will be made fun of, assuming you are not a local. You may be afraid to ask for something you really want, such as jelly for your... More

We've been coming to the Wasps Snack Bar for 40 years. (Relax, you will learn that the name comes not from the acronym for the privileged class in U.S. society but refers to the mascot of the local high school). Years ago, I was afraid to go in for the first time as I felt like I didn't have the... More

Happy to report that this remains what others have written. This is a tiny local diner, built on site, only open for breakfast and early lunch. The food is great, and very much like your grandmother made it. The prices have been coming up through the years, so that part isn't nostalgically unchanged. Not unreasonable, though. This is probably closer... More
