Located near the U-District, this place has the best Indian Food I've ever had in Seattle, I often order take-out, and they serve their amazing chai tea while you wait. The dining room is small and cramped, but who cares, it's the best Indian food you'll find. The lamb dishes are wonderful, and are the Tandoori prawns. The owner greets... More

We were really hungry and the waiter brought us free appetizers with the menu which we appreciated. The food was great and our bill was $22 for two. I got an important work call and left my husband to pay the bill while I stepped outside- but he said they also brought him a free desert. I would go back... More

We were very pleased with the food, the menu choices, the portions (leftovers), and the service. My wife and I came here at the recommendation of our Seattle based daughter. We didn't have a reservation (a thursday night), and we had no problem getting a table as the restaurant was about half full. We shared a wonderful veg samosa (2... More

Family run establishment hampered by its location. Good food, cramped and drafty dining areas. We always enjoy the selection and preparation of the food, appetizers, main dishes and desserts. Everyone works hard to offset the poor location, free appetizers and desserts! When the temperature gets below 40 the front room feels like an ice box! It is actually warmer waiting... More

We really had a wonderful meal. All four of us tried something different and liked the dish really well. There was a great variety of flavors from a delicate dish to seriously spicy. The various nans are worthy of a special mention. Very worthy of a visit

Taste of India - don't judge by the decor or location. The menu is extensive, we ordered Chicken Tikka, Keema and Plain Naan, Taste of India Delight, Mango Chicken Curry, Rogan Josh. Needless to say way too much food equals great leftovers for dinner! The service is always really good, wait staff come by often to refill water, soda's, etc... More

Taste of India is a simple looking place but the food is very good. We had the Bombay Tandoori Chicken Wings as appetizer; it was quite tasty with tamarind and cilantro chutneys. The Chiken Tikka Massala was superb, with pleasant smoky overtones behind the excellent sauce. The Tandoori Prawns were also nice (they came with the same chutneys), but the... More

Terrific Indian food. Excellent service. One of our favorites. The location is bit off the beaten path and parking can be a challenge at peak times but parking is a challenge anywhere in Seattle. If you haven't been, go. You'll enjoy it. If you have been, you don't need this review.

We often come here for celebrations (birthdays or any other excuse) and always leave impressed with the food and service. They have a fabulous chai tea and they never let your cup get empty. The Tandori Chicken Tiki, Mango Curry Chicken, and Lamb Tiki are consistent favorites, but make sure you start with the Garlic Nan and hummus. We generally... More
