We stopped in for Hurricanes at their birthplace. The piano bar is air conditioned to ice cold which is nice on a hot NOLA day. The hurricanes are huge and you get a souvenir glass which is that glass and not plastic. The piano players are great.

A trip to New Orleans isn't complete without trying a hurricane (or five) from Pat O'briens! I normally don't drink sweet drinks, but they are amazing and this place is definitely a must do. The patio area is really nice at night and most of the bartenders are really nice. Definitely will be going back next time.
Always a great way to start your trip. It is always our first place we go when we get to the French Quarter...It just kicks off your trip!
A must STOP by when in New Orleans !!
Been here at least a dozen times. Dueling Pianos for entertainment inside, which can be fun and raucous . Sing along and let loose. Its NOLA.
Gotta see the Flaming Fountain as the sun goes down in the Courtyard . Fun crowd and many regulars. Sometimes standing room only.
A tip:...

While in New Orleans everybody said you have to go to Pat O'Brien's in the French Quarter. I am so glad that we did. We laughed, we sang. I would recomend that if you are in New Orleans stop by .
When you come to New Orleans you have to go to Pat O. It's just one of those things you do. I had joined their birthday club, where you get a free drink and souvenir glass as well. The servers were friendly and quick. The food was surprisingly good. Overall it was a good experience.
As a souvenir, you get to take home your hurricane glass. As five friends and I were leaving, an employee offered to box our glasses. He kept mentioning that he did this for tips. Since he was rude, and we didn't ask him to box our glasses, we didn't tip him. As he boxed my glass, I said "Thank you"...

So we went just to see the place, but it was such a beautiful day we were convinced by Don to have a drink. I had the hurricane and my husband had a bloody Mary. It wasn't so much the place as it was the wonderful people. I believe Don was the manager, or one of them and he took...

Noisy, crowded, lively, entertaining, unique. true french quarter partying at its highest level. Even if your not usually a tavern type a couple of hurricanes changes your perspective in a hurry! DONT MISS IT!
Much to my pleasant surprise, Pat O'Brien's was a nice experience and not as touristy as I was expecting. It's not the cheapest place on Bourbon St. However, in this case, the bit of extra cost was worth it.
My initial less than favorable impression was soon dispelled. The front part of it was very crowded. I thought we would...
