Description: Serving Lunch, Dinner and Sunday Brunch, Restaurant R’evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto, offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs’ interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo, po’ boys, and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as “the swamp floor pantry.” Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying.Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.

R'evolution was one of the best meals I have ever had. When you go to New Orleans, do not miss this restaurant. You will not be dissapointed.

DEEEEELICIOUS! Gulf Shrimp & grits (I ate the whooooooole thing), crab beignets and the bananas foster souffle were highlights. I heard the seafood gumbo was delicious as well as the Death By Gumbo. Also cocktails were excellent too - mojitos and one of the best Bloody Marys I've ever had!

This wonderful restaurant located on the western edge of the French Quarter has an old world bar - deep woods, antiques on display, dim lighting - very atmospheric... and a dining room divided into several sections - one more formal than the other - the less formal one has an open view onto the kitchen and its wood burning ovens... A fantastic restaurant! Wow! Everything was perfect: food, decor, service. It had an extensive wine and cocktail list. Menu was also large. I highly recommended the house cured salumi. Top to bottom, an amazing meal. We even had a tour of the kitchen following the dinner service.

I don't have a bad thing to say about this place. Top notch service, great atmosphere, AMAZING food...can't even complain about the price because everything is just SO good. They have stools for your purse, cheese carts, professional and knowledgable staff, a person with a bread basket with your choice of breads (throughout the night), chef's samples, and a little... Be sure to make reservations early!! The entire restaurant was reserved for a private party our 1st night. The second evening, we still didn't call early enough to get reservations before 10:15 p.m.! (The bar is available for dinner service, if you're interested in sitting on a bar stool.)

The crab sandwich is amazing. My wife and I went there twice to get it. Their peanut ice cream which is made in house is also very good. We had the same waitress each time and she was very efficient and friendly. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated...great vibe. R'evolution is now on our short list of restaurants that we... We went to R'Evolution last night intending to have some drinks and nibbles and stay for dinner, but the cranky bar staff changed our minds. To be fair, the food was delicious. Innovative, beautifully presented, very balanced and delicious. We enjoyed everything we ate. Unfortunately, the bartenders seemed not to like each other and spent most of the time we... More
