We felt kind of old for this place, but service was good and the drinks were delicious and creative. Very comfortable setting for a civilized cocktail.
A must-try cocktail spot in New Orleans. One of the best sazeracs in town and a great list of their own creations. One specialty drink was an old fashioned made with birdseed--had to try it since it sounded so crazy, and it was crazy good! Really nice bartenders too. I'd stay at the hotel again just to be in the... More
With SOOO many cool bars/lounges in NoLa, this one doesn't stand out as anything too special, but for a hotel bar, it's pretty darned cool. Very cool romantic atmosphere with the lighting and velvet seating etc, but there isn't much of a "vibe" because of the general lack of people usually at the bar and the lack of live music.... More
Unique decor. Great place to take your date. Romantic scene. It's off the lobby of the International. I wish they had a bigger wine selection. We went on a slow night. We were one of three couples there. The bartender was not interested in serving any of the people there. At one point she was gone for over 5 minutes.... More
My husband and I have been to this bar many times since they opened in 2006, so we were in NOLA this weekend and I wanted to stop by and get one of my favorite drinks they serve, the Delilah. When we walked up to the bar to order, the bar manager asked if he could help us. I told... More
If I could just go back in time to the evening you stopped by Loa, I assure you I'd try to make sure we had a better connection with each other. My name is Alan and I manage Loa. All of us who serve you are generally very aware of how our body language behind the bar--sometimes even a glance--sets... More
This place is one of the best cocktail bars in town, and that is saying a lot in a town known for its cocktails. They have a specials menu which changes daily. The best part is that the prices aren't outrageous.
This is right next door to the La Quinta and it's our favorite bar. No noise, quiet music and chic. The drinks are fantastic, though expensive. The bar is lined in fresh herbs that they put in the drinks. There are velvet chairs and sofas and great views of the street for people watching. They have a great wine selection... More
Very comfortable bar and lounge with fabulous and interesting cocktails. Bartenders are clearly very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Great bar area filled with fresh herbs and fruit. Also cool to see some new libations being brewed during the day.
My husband and I stayed in the hotel international house where this bar is located. Most amazing drinks ever and coolest bar set up I have ever seen, but the bartenders were extremely unhappy and rude (women) We went in for one more drink before we left because the drinks were so amazing and sat near the window for 30...
