Steaks were OK but not outstanding. You have to pay extra for vegetables and with higher than average drinks prices this was altogether a bit on the expensive side. If anything restaurant is a bit on the pretentious side and is trying to justify a premium price for a pretty average product, outwith the main area of eating in NO.... More

2nd best steak Ive ever had in my life, only next to Mike Shannon's in St Louis where you dont even need a steak knife. Its a little pricey but an excellent meal in a great Garden District location. I am returning there this November for sure. Yum!

This is a very nice steakhouse, Zagat rated and right off the lobby of the hotel we were staying in, Avenue Plaza on St. Charles Ave. Reservations are needed, and we only had to wait about ten minutes to be seated. The steak was excellent, and if you are not familiar with the term "rare plus", it is between rare... More

Our last night in NOLA and we were interested in a good steak with good wine. Past views led us here. The charm of this restaurant grabs you when you first walk in. There is obviously much history here. The waitstaff is very professional And friendly. The caesar salad is one of the best. The soft shell crabs were the... More

Excellent. Couldn't get a table for the same night, so ate at the bar. Friendly people, Excellent steak, and excellent side veggies (creamed spinach and asparagus). Only room for improvement was asparagus was small (about 7 or 8), and 8 dollars.

On a recent visit to New Orleans, my boyfriend and I went to Mr. John's to celebrate a birthday. We both agreed that it was literally the best steak we had ever eaten in our lives!! The sides are the reason this review is 4 starts instead of 5 becuase they were not very good but the steak and garlic... More

Very cool atmosphere. A little loud, but you are in NOLA. Steak was fantastic, wait staff was first class and personable. Worth checking out!

A must visit if you are going to the Big Easy! Just a short cab ride away from the French Quarter is one of the best steakhouse, fish places in all of NOLA. The place has alot of charm and the service is impeccable! The prices were very reasonable for NOLA and the stark I had, NY strip, was one... More

First, full disclosure, I haven't eaten steak in 30 years. Nonetheless, this restaurant delivered one of the finest meals I've ever had! There were three of us, adults, and we enjoyed the smooth curbside valet, immediate seating at our (reserved) table, and non-stop-yet-perfectly-nonintrusive service. The waiters were courteous and pleasant (leaning toward the fun side). We got our beverages quickly.... More
