This place is so delicious. I ALWAYS get the blueberry pancakes because I love them so much. I have also been with people who get the scramblers, which are their go-to dishes. Be prepared to wait, and the atmosphere is very diner-ish, but it's worth it!

First time visitor based on previous reviews. Had only a 5 minute wait on a Saturday (non-game) morning. Atmosphere was crowded but fun to sit at counter. Food was mediocre at best. Had to reorder because my daughter didn't even like the chocolate chip pancakes! Just didn't understand why everyone is excited about this place.

Order the reuben omelet, you won't be disappointed. One of the best breakfasts I have had. Great little hole in the wall a short distance from UW campus, highly recommended. Great food, friendly service.

I went to grad school in Madison 20 years ago and Mickie's was a favorite for breakfast.... IF you could get in. Visited again this weekend and nothing has changed. The pancakes are still huge (and a little doughy), the coffee is nonstop and the service is friendly.
