The wife and I stopped for lunch while in Greensboro. I ordered the 12 oz. Sirloin, she had the state st. burger. The steak was cooked exactly like I ordered it. The burger was so large we brought half of it home. It was very tasteful. Service was excellent, having never to ask for refills. Atmosphere was charming, lots of... More

Recommended by hotel clerk when we asked for good dining in a non-chain restaurant. Tuesday night $5 martini specials, pomegranate is great! Very attentive service, food excellent, though my honey bourbon grilled salmon was overcooked. My husband's beef filet was very good. I'd definitely eat here again.

I've been here multiple times and it's just average every time. Menu selection (to me) seems limited and not a lot of variety.

I ate here this past weekend while visiting greensboro . I had a steak which was cooked medium well as I asked. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was very good. I will eat here again when I come back to Greensboro .

Thursday Night Dinner special was a version of Seafood Alfredo. While not authentic Italian it was an excellent dish. The menu listed 2 types of seafood, shrimp and scallops, I think. But it came with shrimp, crab and fish, and lots of cheese. I had enough for lunch the next day. They also had a wine special that night. I... More

We were tired and just looking for a decent place to eat when Tripps was recommended by our hotel. We got a lot more than decent; we got a spirit lifter. Firecracker shrimp appetizer was so, so tasty, and plenty big enough for two to share aplenty. My husband had steak and I had a chicken stir fry, both of... More

Good food, had the ceasar salad with chicken. Really delicious. Everyone liked the food. The server couldn't have cared less. We had to ask for more drinks. Then we watched the staff moved booth tables to clean and refill salt/pepper. Then we all watched the busboy use a rag to clean the booth seats, THEN the table top, placed new... More

This was recommended by the manager of the Springill Suites Tom and he told me to ask for Jim the manager of Tripps. I was treated like a queen and got a free appetizer. The food and the service is wonderful.
