I grew up spoiled for choices in Dominican Republic where Lebanese Cuisine was concerned and while I have since learned to love and experience some of the other awesome Middle Eastern food in MD, I desperately missed Kibbeh (or Kipe in DR). These lovely little bulgur wheat croquettes filled with seasoned beef, raisins, and spices are sold here and THEY... More

WIth its casual atmosphere, delicious Middle-Eastern food, and reasonable prices, what's not to like? Meet a friend for a snack and conversation, enjoy brunch with family and friends, listen to live music, or grab a tasty, filling meal before a movie just across the courtyard.

This is great place to go if you are also going out the the movies in the same location. The food is good and has a great variety of choices. The place is a bit funky but if you can look beyond that you will enjoy the food. Some evenings individuals come in to bang on the piano and this... More

Great selections of beers on draft and even a gluten free bottled beer, several wine choices and great food make the New Deal Cafe a delightful place to go in Greenbelt. The live music in the back room is awesome. Really good musicians that you might pay good money to see, come and play for tips at the New Deal.... More

Love this little hidden treasure! I've only bee when John Kadlecik has been playing solo here, so every time it has been full, wall-to-wall customers. The food is great and the portions are big. The service was okay considering the amount of customers, so I can only imagine that it is top-notch on a regular night. Great beers. I haven't... More

My wife and I recently discovered the Old Greenbelt Theatre. One Friday night, we decided to go and try to eat at a place we saw called The New Deal Cafe across from the theater. It was a great experience. The food was wonderful, the people (employees and guests) were friendly and the entertainment (a guy on piano and later... More

I had always wanted to try this place as we frequently go to dinner and a movie at the Old Greenbelt Theatre. I enjoy Lebanese food, so was anxious to try it out. The service was poor, the bottles of wine were overpriced for the location, and the food was mediocre at best. I ordered some falafel as an appetizer... More

My wife and I eat often at the New Deal Cafe. Our favorite menu items are the Vegetable Kibbeh, Chicken Kabobs, and Lebanese traditional platter. The vegetables are always very fresh. We also love to eat breakfast at the New Deal. Breakfast is only offered on Sundays from 10:30am to 12:30pm on Sunday. Our favorite breakfast item is the Tofu... More
