We got there late on a Friday night, were told only the fryer was on, grill was closed. The appetizers were good. Staff friendly. Just not a lively place.

I ordered the hamburger, which was ok but when I asked for pickles on it, I was told that Brits didn't do pickles so I couldn't have them on my burger. I was ok with that, but they couldn't tell me why they had fried pickles on their menu, and I couldn't get one on my burger...
We ate here May 15, 2013 (Wednesday around 4pm). It wasn't crowded. Just a few others besides us. Their website stated one menu and that they had a special Mon-Thurs all day--Fish and Chips 7.99. Once we got there, some of the items on the menu were different. Three of us got the fish and chips. The price turned out...

This place this so good and an awesome pub! I had wonderful fish and chips here it was so good and it's pretty affordable you will not be sorry to seek out this place
We stopped by one afternoon for something to drink and were so impressed, we came back the next day for lunch. I had the fish and chips, which I thought was excellent. My husband had the cottage pie and loved it. The service was both friendly and efficient. We would definitely come back again.
We were only 4 of 10 people in the place. We chose it for it's view and location and uniqueness but left very disappointed. Limited menu. We ordered burgers and chicken sandwiches - took over 30 mins to get food and 15 mins to pay! There was only 10 people in the restaurant!
We stopped in for a quick beer and it was all my husband talked about all day! We loved the atmosphere and coziness of the Pub, we will return!
My girlfriend and I happened across this restaurant by accident. In fall of 2011 we were in Gatlinburg and we stayed at a hotel across the backstreet from this place (riverside???) and we saw this was a place called Hellbenders. I remember they were closing down for good ... they were carting out tables and such.
Upon our return in...

Great place for a drink. Our Irish coffee was wonderful. Our server was great. However, the food was very lacking. Over all a great place to stop in for a night cap after dinner, just don't plan on doing dinner here.
Quaint little place tucked away on a side street, but definitely worth seeking. And, seek too the man from a little place called Liverpool, England!
