I really wanted to like this place, and so gave it a second try after the first horrible experience a few months ago.
This time was no different.
1. The waitress did not know the menu. I wanted the donburi that is listed on their online menu, but didn't see it on the in-restaurant menu. I asked the waitress if...

This place is great for a special occasion or a fun night. It is very entertaining and great quality food. I have been here twice and had such a great time both times.
This place is fantastic. As with any Hibachi dinner, the entertainment is a must-see. Our chef, Li, was very funny (and helped me with a generous 20-second long stream of Sake straight into my mouth).
The steak was cooked exactly the way I asked, and the vegetables were cooked very well (coming from a veggie hater, that's quite an accomplishment)....

We liked it so much the first time, we went back twice in the same week. We had sushi both times. It was simply delicious! We strongly suggest the specialty sushi (fusion) such as the "lover roll". We also enjoyed the cocktails for two! The staff is friendly and makes good suggestions. It is a nice place for a romantic...

We ate on the non-hibachi side of the restaurant. The options here have great breadth, but quality does not seem to be sacrificed. For our table of 4, we ordered a noodle dish (I normally am not excited about these, but this one was excellent) and a wide array of sushi. The sushi was well-prepared, and the house specials were...

Tucked on a side street in the Coolidge Corner section of Brookline, Osaka was an unexpected delight. When we walked in the restaurant was very quiet which made me a little apprehensive since the pizza joint next door was jam packed. After being seated in the "hibachi dinner" section of the restaurant we started with the Rock Shrimp which were...

Very good service and friendly staff. The chef had just the right balance of showmanship and professionalism. My filet mignon was delicious!
We are big fans of sushi lunch. It's light, bright and goes down easy. So when Osaka opened in Brookline we said, "Let's go." Lunch, 11:30-3:30 pm, comes inside (all the usual) and outside the box. You won't be disappointed.
Sushi lunch boxes are 12 bucks; warm lunch boxes are $10; fried rice and udon combinations are $10-$14.
Outside the...

The four kids in our party thought this place was terrific. The waiter makes a big show of cooking. He taps his cooking utensil against the grill (you sit in a U around the cooking grill) like drum sticks, yells out funny things, squirts Coke and sake into guests' mouths from a squeeze bottle, etc. Be aware that it is...
