I met some long, not-so-lost, friends here for lunch. It was very quiet (2:00), but the service was perfect - not slacking, not all over us. $1 oysters (Blue Points) were excellent, as were the BBC beers. No complaints from the table about the burger, fries or croquet monsieur sandwiches, though no rave reviews either. I'll be back (and not...

The setting is really cool. The owners have revamped a service station into a really nice, well decorated, funky bistro. One of the best parts is that they have $1 oysters all the time. The food is innovative bistro. The calamari is perfect and the binh mah sandwich with meatballs was excellent as were the chips that came with it....

We went there with a reservation and we had to wait 45 minutes to get at able. Owner was extremely rude and loud. Place has no ventilation u sit on top of each other, and u smell the food from the kitchen. I dined in every restaurant in Brookline this was my worst dining experience for years, I wouldn't recommend...

We had a wonderful dining experience Saturday night. The service was unobtrusive and very friendly, our waitress was always smiling and knew her menu well.
We started with Bluepoint Oysters they were super fresh, briny and delicious. We also ordered the fried clam appetiser which were perfectly cooked whole belly and better than almost any we've ever tasted. The Prix-fix...

Atmosphere is quirky, in an old garage that has been turned into a hip restaurant. Food is consistently fantastic. Calamari is the best I've had. Lamb burger is great. Oysters are a dollar each. Service is friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
Sweet wait staff and very yummy food. Nice relaxed vibe. Always a pleasure. Can't wait to go back. Warm bread and interesting salads and an excellent value. Great bread pudding and the beet salad is de-lish.
Cognac Bistro is in a converted gas station that some will find attractive. Cognac posters decorate the premises. The menu consists of simple bistro food adequately prepared. Our party ordered the hanger steak cooked three ways - blue, medium rare and medium - and they all were served about medium rare. The home made sausage was appetizing. French fries were...

We are at the Cognac Bistro almost on a weekly basis. Service is super friendly, the drinks are excellent (they even offered me a replacement in case I didn't like one, which never happened). And there's always 4 different kinds of fresh oysters (mostly from the Cape or Long Island) , excellently prepared. That said, leave yourself some room for...

Was greeted at the door by a really nice host/waiter for the back dining area. He suggested we could seat at the bar too and eat. We watched the bartender making cool drinks while we had a delicious food. They have a great display of fresh oysters that would want make you want to try one.The bartender was not so...
