Food good but noisy. I ordered the snapper special that was steamed in parchment with asparagus, parsnip and mushrooms. My husband had the New York strip which was cooked to perfection. Lots of interesting posters in this charming French bistro.

Wonderful meal of pâté and foie gras. None better this side of Paris. Tres bien. A very comfortable setting in the bar. Warm and helpful wait staff.

Circa 1875 does it right. Dined in the wine cellar & all aspects of the meal were phenomenal. Try the mussels & sautéed chicken livers for apps - soooo good! Trout special and salmon from menu were divine & salads were awesome as well. Nice wine list. Great server too. Will visit again next time I'm in Savannah.

We gave this restaurant a try due to the number of excited reviewers experiences here. Did not find the same results on the night we dined there. We got there early and were promptly seated. Do not go there! Rude staff and management and the food was of poor quality. Had to send back the salad which the waiter had recommended which had lacked one of its components. Restaurant was recommended by our tour guide and we enjoyed it a lot. It is small and intimate, the service is very nice, and the food was delicious. Would definitely go again!

Totally enjoyed ambiance, food, and especially server, Galen. It was close to France, exceptional to find a bistro in Savannah. We started with escargot, wonderful moules with fennel, salmon with pesto sauce and ratatouille, and then Crepes Suzette. Each course was better than the last. Ended with espresso and macchiato. Circa is a grown-ups restaurant, but not one that is too fancy or too pricey. I'm a professor here in town, and going out can mean running into students.
