Based partly on our love of Jose Garces' restaurant in Chicago, Mercat de la Planxa, I took my wife to this similar restaurant for our 40th wedding anniversary during a recent trip to Philly. The servers were excellent,.. a perfect blend of attentiveness without being smothering. The tapas dishes were excellent (we tried 8 dishes) and the Sangria was sublime.... More

We were served pitchers of sangria. No, not white wine with fruit. REAL sangria. Wine, Grand Marnier, brandy, fruit...... absolutely divine. Just the right balance between sweet and dry, it was just amazing. Also amazing were every dish I tried. The salads, soups, meats, everything was terrific.I did not get adventurous and order the squid! I do so look forward... More

We heard a lot about Amada, and checked it out for lunch. I sincerely don't get what the hype is about. The design is basic. We got one tapas which was delicious but stingy small for the price, and the "catalan express" deal - the soups were good, but I didn't like both our sandwiches (the chicken and the pork),... More

This is one of the best tapas restaurants we have ever enjoyed. Chose the $55 PP chefs selection and a pitcher of white sangria. It was both entertaining (we sat at the kitchen bar) and delicious. The only complaint was that the wild mushroom dish was tooooo salty. It was a great value for the quality and service.

Good Lord this is the best Spanish food I've ever had outside Spain. Great service, great location, terrific Sunday brunch.

We have been to this restaurant a few times now and have never been let down. Love the atmosphere and decor in general. It's a great place for a date night without feeling overly formal etc. we found the food to be delicious and perfectly portioned.

Walking around old city and happened upon this place. The outside menu had me at hello. Bacon date skewer, seared octopus, garlic shrimp, and a lavender truffled honey cheese plate for desert. Not a bad night. The sangrias are unique and refreshing with some nice wines to boot.

We went for the $65 "more adventurous" tasting, plus a wine pairing. We got 9 or 10 fun plates, 2 of which were desserts, plus 4 glasses of wine. Our server was really friendly and the decor is good for friends or romance. We actually didn't leave feeling like "wow, that was the best stuff I ever tasted" but overall,... More
